Even with the easiest application process, things go wrong sometimes β bubbles, lifted edges, or a wrap that just isn't sitting right. Here's how to fix or remove UV DTF wraps without ruining your cup.
How to remove a UV DTF wrap
- Heat it gently. A hair dryer on low for 10β15 seconds softens the adhesive.
- Lift from a corner. Use a fingernail or plastic scraper β avoid metal, which scratches glass.
- Peel slowly. Pull back on itself (not up) at a low angle to minimize residue.
- Clean the surface. Remove adhesive residue with rubbing alcohol or a mild adhesive remover, then wash with soap and water.
How to fix bubbles
Small bubbles often work out with a squeegee or your thumb, pressing from the center outward. If a bubble won't move, lift the nearest edge, smooth the bubble out, and re-press the wrap down.
How to fix lifted edges
Clean both the wrap edge and the cup, then press firmly. If edges keep lifting, the cup may be textured or the wrap may not be the right size for that blank β check the size chart before ordering.
When to replace the wrap
If a wrap is torn, creased, or has lost adhesion after removal, replace it β wraps are inexpensive at wholesale, so don't risk a bad finished product. Stock UV DTF cup wraps with a 50-piece minimum and you'll always have a spare.
